The Specialist Arts Colleges Conference


Over 100 teachers, presenters, students and artists took part in the Specialist Arts College Conference for the South East Region, held at South Hill Park Arts Centre in Bracknell on 20th October. The conference was the result of a partnership between the Specialist Schools’ Trust and Arts Council England, South East, and was organised by Catherine Rose’s Office. Sessions included a series of 6 breakout workshops and a Presentation fair with 11 projects and organisations offering in-depth information. Creative opportunities included adding to a 'Conference Field' sculpture, a DJ-ing demonstration and a performance by the Windsor Boys' Junk Band.

STOMP! dancers Theseus and Frazer led both teacher-delegates and members of the Windsor Boys’ Junk Band in a lively workshop.



The film crew from Park School in Havant, Hampshire, comprising four students and three BBC personnel, made a film of the day, shown in the final session of the conference.
