In addition to her publications, 'Building Better Relationships with Schools' and 'The 'Family Factor', she has written APe-Mail, the fortnightly e-mail bulletin of ArtsProfessional, since February 2002. She has produced reports and documents including the Eastern Orchestral Board's Annual Review (2005 and 2006); the Billboard project publication for Futurecity (2006) and the quarterly Theatre Education newsletter (2004-5). Conference RapporteurCatherine has acted as rapporteur for a number of events including the Arts Council England Insights Conferences in 2003 and 2004, the Magic Me Continuing Professional Development programme from early 2004 onwards and for Creative Partnerships. In addition to arts projects, she has also worked on Help the Aged's "Quality of Life in Care Settings" conference (November 2004) and the Age Concern 'Active Ageing for All' Conference (June 2005).She will prepare for and attend a conference, visiting as many sessions as possible and scribing almost continuously using laptop and pen-and-paper in order not only to garner the information but record the atmosphere, provide individual insights and capture the special character of the event. She will eavesdrop, record and truffle out any interesting quotations and information. She will also prepare during the day a special PowerPoint presentation, lasting anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes, giving a personal overview of the day, reflecting the sessions and the work that have been carried out and adding any useful or illuminating comments or insights. She will deliver this to time, in an engaging and energetic manner which will leave your conference delegates with a positive end to their day. |
