Conference and Event Management

"Having your team in place on the day made it the most stress-free event I've ever been involved in." Client, Specialist Arts Colleges Conference

Catherine Rose’s Office is able to organise conferences and other one-day training and information events. The team has undertaken a number of these over the past three years, including:

  • Widening Horizons: a conference for arts education agencies. Client: Arts Council England Education Department
  • Launch Pad: the arts and the early years in the East Midlands. Client: Arts Council England, East Midlands
  • Specialist Arts Colleges Conference: 20th. October 2004. See the Specialist Arts Colleges section on this website. Clients: the Specialist Schools Trust and Arts Council England, South East
  • The Pulse and Sciart workshop series, January to March 2005, in collaboration with Aspirational Arts Partnerships. Client: the Wellcome Trust.

Catherine brings together a team to administer the conference and to supply excellent front of house service. She herself works on programme development, budgeting, researching the subject of the conference, finding and briefing appropriate speakers and overseeing the general running of the conference.

“Thank you for a super day which has given me a deeper insight to share with the Partnership by having mixed with a wide range of people from differing professional backgrounds. Great” – Delegate at Launch Pad

Our approach to conference programming is individual and creative. No two conferences should be alike. Sessions are tailored to the material, to the potential delegates of the conference and to the available space. Types of sessions and events have included:

  • Networking workshops and activities
  • Keynote speakers
  • Chaired debates and ‘question times’
  • Breakout workshops, including both practical interactive work and more formal ‘lecture’-type sessions
  • Information fairs
* Presentation fairs (allowing large numbers of case studies to be experienced in a short space of time)

“Practical and inspirational; hope this is the first of many.” – Delegate at Launch Pad

Catherine Rose’s Office focuses on conference subjects within the general area of arts education (including programme development for young people, children and families) and education and community development for artists and arts organisations. We are happy to discuss organising conferences and training/information sessions, and can offer outline budgets and programme suggestions.
